Last updated: July 2026
The following Terms of Use & Conditions apply to work performed by Shockwave Electric and to estimates and agreements issued by us.
Two-Year Warranty
A two (2) year warranty covering both parts and labor is included.
Deposits
All deposits are strictly non-refundable and cannot be negotiated.
Change Orders
Any modifications or deviations from the original scope that result in additional cost are handled as change orders. Change orders will be billed at a rate of $325 per hour plus the cost of materials, with a minimum charge of one hour. We also reserve the right to provide an estimate.
Work Standards & Liability
All work will be completed in accordance with the standards set forth by the National Electrical Code. Shockwave Electric is not responsible for the condition or performance of any existing electrical system. While reasonable care will be taken to protect the property, we are not liable for repairs such as painting, texturing, or patching of walls, ceilings, or flooring that may be required due to access for wiring or conduit installation.
Underground Work
Repairs or replacement of grass, sod, or landscaping disturbed during excavation are not included. The Customer must notify the Electrical Contractor within 30 days if any underground utilities (including irrigation, cable, or internet lines) are believed to be impacted. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE AS A RESULT.
Permits and Inspections
Shockwave Electric will obtain all necessary electrical permits. Unless otherwise specified, all permit and inspection fees are the responsibility of the Customer.
Project Delays
Shockwave Electric shall not be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control. These may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, labor disputes, acts of God, actions by the property owner or governing authorities, or other unforeseen events.
Material Substitutions
Materials may be substituted without prior notice if necessary to maintain project progress, provided that any replacements are of equal or greater quality than those originally specified.
Payment Terms
Full payment is due upon completion (“Day of”) of the project’s labor completion. Any outstanding balance will incur a late fee of 1.5% per month. If legal action is required to collect payment, Shockwave Electric is entitled to recover attorney’s fees and associated costs.
Right to Suspend Work
Failure to make payments as agreed may result in suspension of work until all outstanding balances are brought current. Shockwave Electric can also prorate and return funds should conflict arise.
Non-Withholding Clause
Payment to Shockwave Electric shall not be delayed or withheld due to any disputes, delays, or non-payment involving the Client or third parties.
Estimate Validity
This estimate remains valid for 72 hours from the time it was issued. If not accepted within that timeframe, it will expire and may be subject to revision or withdrawal on the 72nd hour by 2pm or prior to acceptance. Additionally, Shockwave Electric may withdraw from any estimate and/or agreement at will.
Contract Interpretation
This agreement shall be interpreted as a whole and according to its fair and reasonable meaning, with bias toward Shockwave Electric. No single provision shall depend on another for validity.
Severability
If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator, that provision shall be removed without affecting the enforceability of the remaining terms.
Health and Safety Conditions
Shockwave Electric reserves the right to assess the work environment at any time during the project. If, in our sole judgment, the property is determined to be unsafe, hazardous, or unsanitary in a manner that poses a risk to personnel, equipment, or the quality of work, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate services immediately.
In such cases, work performed up to the point of suspension or termination will be invoiced on a prorated basis, including labor, materials, and any applicable costs incurred. Any remaining balance for unperformed work may be refunded at the discretion of Shockwave Electric. Upon termination under these conditions, the agreement shall be considered fulfilled to the extent of work completed, and no obligation to continue or complete the remaining scope shall apply. All dogs need to be secured and put up prior to arrival and for the duration of the work.
